Do you have dark circles under your eyes? We have a solution…

If you’re fed up with trying to cover your dark circles, this new product from No7 Laboratories is for you. Targeting the causes of dark circles at the source, the treatment is clinically proven to reduce eye circles by 30% in as little as one week

Do you suffer from dark, puffy, under-eye circles? Yeah, us too.

For years, we’ve been trying to eliminate them in any way we can. We drank more water; slept for longer; applied brightening concealer, and even sat with sliced cucumber on our eyelids. But still, nothing seemed to work.

At last, after seven years of extensive research, scientists have developed a treatment that can reduce the appearance of dark circles in as little as one week. Enter No7 Laboratories Dark Circle Corrector; €37, from Boots.

How it works

Before they could pin down a specific treatment for dark circles, scientists at No7 Laboratories set about finding the cause of them.

“We know dark circles are a key, un-met concern for consumers,” said Dr Mike Bell, one of No7’s scientific advisors, “so we’ve been carrying out research to understand [which] causes we could directly address with our own technology,” he said.

Over the course of seven years (including a recent presentation for the British Society of Investigative Dermatology), they found the three main causes of dark circles are inflammation, hyperpigmentation and thin/fragile skin.

Once they knew the specific causes, the team could strategically formulate its first clinically-proven treatment. The final result was No7 Laboratories Dark Circle Corrector; an affordable product that delivers instant results (not to mention longer-term benefits), by reducing the appearance of dark circles by up to 30% in just four weeks.

What’s more, in a consumer study on 210 women, 80% saw a visible reduction in the appearance of their dark circles in just one week.*

What’s in it, and why?

According to the team at No7 Laboratories, the No7 Laboratories Dark Circle Corrector contains the following, carefully-chosen ingredients:

Hyaluronic acid

This super ingredient can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water; meaning it can effectively hydrate, plump and firm the skin.

Caffeine, liquorice and algae extract

These ingredients help to calm, soothe and reduce puffiness.

Vitamin C and Sophora

Reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

Antioxidant complex

A patented antioxidant complex of mulberry, ginseng and vitamin C reduces oxidative stress and protects the skin from free radicals (such as pollution in the air).

Colour correctors

The formula incorporates adaptive, light-diffusing particles and colour correcting pigments in two different shades. These instantly improve the appearance of dark circles on all skin tones, from light to dark. The Light/Medium shade helps correct dark circles with blue/red undertones; while the Medium/Dark shade helps to correct dark circles with red/brown undertones.

Before you try

As the No7 Laboratories Dark Circle Corrector is clinically proven, it’s worth taking a ‘before’ photo to really appreciate the ‘after’ effects. A picture really does speak a thousand words, and nothing will show how effective this product is like your own ‘then and now’ snaps.

The new No7 Laboratories Dark Circle Corrector, €37, is available exclusively in-store at Boots Ireland and online at Boots.ie from June 5, 2019.
