The five beauty products to know used backstage at London Fashion Week

Behind every great fashion show beauty look is a team of experts using the latest and greatest in beauty to bring a designer's vision to life. Here are five key products behind London Fashion Week spring/summer 2022 best looks.

RIXO

Backstage at Rixo, make-up artist Vincent Ford used Nars Via Veneto High Pigment Longwear Eyeliner to create a look he calls “holiday ready with fresh skin, soft pink lips and a Bardot inspired cat eye flick that is timeless but modernised with a hint of blue, green and pink.

VICTORIA BECKHAM

Glossy, textured waves at Victoria Beckham were created by session stylist Cyndia Harvey using the new ghd unplugged styler. “The textured hair look this season was inspired by individuality and uniqueness,” says Victoria Beckham. “I like the idea of an array of different styles and structures with effortless shaping; hair that looks like it’s been slept in a bit, with a bend in it as well. Plus, with the ghd unplugged styler capturing the ultimate on-the-go styling, I love how this look can be achieved anywhere, anytime.”

RICHARD MALONE x MULBERRY

Illamasqua’s Director of Artistry Pablo Rodriguez used Colour Veil Cream Blusher in Entice to create an ode to natural beauty he says was “inspired in portraits by Italian Renaissance artist Raphael. The key colour I picked from those paintings is the diluted orange seen on the cheeks. On the models I used Illamasqua Colour Veils in Enamour or Entice depending on the skin tone, these were applied on a big section of the cheeks.”

ERDEM

Dyson Global Hair Ambassador and hairstylist Larry King drew inspiration from English eccentrics and Erdem’s Edwardian influence to give a modern take on a period feel using the new Dyson Flyaway Attachment to smooth flyaways for a sleek, polished finish on the hair.

HARRIS REED

An ethereal glow was created backstage at Harris Reed using MAC Studio Radiance Face and Body Radiant Sheer Foundation. Designed by Terry Barber and the MAC Pro team, it’s a look Terry Barber calls “an elevated, extreme version of natural make-upalmost Victorian and statuesque.”
