Mija Knezevic: A week in my wardrobe

Mija Knezevic: A week in my wardrobe

by Mija Knezevic
26th Feb 2023

Mija Knezevic is a creative director, art director, influencer, social media strategist and stylist. Originally from Montenegro, she’s lived all over the world and has collaborated with brands such as Net-A-Porter, Tory Burch, Nina Ricci and even Burberry. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe at London Fashion Week.

FRIDAY

It’s London Fashion Week time, the one where I play in-house! London is beaming today and rightly so, as the city gets more and more crowded with fashion insiders by the hour. This season, my Fashion Week started at 45 Park Lane Hotel in the heart of the city and I had the chance to get ready in my beautiful suite, with the company of my best friend. My first event is a Vogue x Snapchat event on Regent Street and I decided to wear a beautiful purple taffeta gown by New York-based brand, HELLESSY, from their Resort 23 collection, adorned by a thin belt to cinch in the waist.

SATURDAY

I was feeling dressy again this Saturday morning to attend the Eudon Choi show, at 11am. I opted for an orange gown from the brand’s spring/summer 2023 collection in orange chiffon – one of the colours I love the most and that compliments my skin the best. The yellow leather bag in my hand is from the brand too and is the perfect accessory that goes perfectly with a beautiful Martina Spetlova leather sleeveless jacket – I let the print of the jacket do all the talking!

SUNDAY

I had been patiently waiting for the British Vogue x Tiffany & Co. event at Annabel’s, one of my favourite venues in London. It was the perfect occasion to wear an up-do to show the Tiffany & Co. choker and to compliment a gorgeous Tory Burch sleeveless dress, which I paired with my beloved Bettina Vermillon crystal sandals, and a Tiffany & Co. Lock bangle which added further glam to the look!

MONDAY

New day, new outfit, and a very-Mija one! I tucked in this beautiful David Koma shirt in a pair of straight-leg Bottega Veneta jeans, which have become a staple in my wardrobe, along with my pink Bottega Veneta shoes, which are very versatile and add the right pop of colour to any outfit.

TUESDAY

If you know me, you’ll know I am all about colour. I am not one for monochrome and I actually have the most fun finding new combinations over and over again! Tuesday’s outfit was built around this new leather NYNNE Bermuda suit, which is set to be a huge trend for spring/summer – I love this trend, it’s so effortlessly chic. I added a silk striped shirt by Lou Lou Studio and a trench coat by Lemaire, two of my most worn and bought brands. I brought out my beloved Hermes mini Kelly in Capri blue and paired it with some very comfortable Paris-Texas mules in lime green.

WEDNESDAY

This “week in colour” is almost coming to an end and this Paul & Joe jacket had to be taken out. I paired it with a woven knit crop top in a soothing shade of blue and a pair of flared Aje trousers. This look is all about the small details which I’m always on the lookout for when it comes to my wardrobe. The buttons on the jacket and the tiny ton-sur-ton studs on the trousers make all the difference. I kept comfortable with my black boots that I wear season after season.

THURSDAY

Italy calling! It’s now time to go to Milan and I swapped my heels for my trusty black loafers. I collect loafers and some of my favourites in my wardrobe are from Céline, Tod’s and G.H. Bass. Even though the weather has been very pleasant, I felt like wearing this very warm Stand Studio aviator-style jacket in a rich shade of brown with contrasting lining – I love pairing it with my flared trousers by Yuzefi and these Lexxola tortoise sunglasses for my run to the airport!
