The Irish design scarves bringing colour and culture to our wardrobes

Emblazoned with symbols of Ireland and splashed with vibrant colours, these Irish design scarves make for the perfect purchase.

Irish design scarves are having a bit of a moment, aren’t they? The warm and woolly football scarf-adjacent style has had a modern makeover, and there are many different iterations employing the symbols of Ireland old and new to make each piece sing.

From Celtic swirls inspired by the Neolithic rock carvings and iconography of the winter solstice to Brigid’s day crosses, glorious pints and slogans from beloved shows, these designs are giving new life to Irish culture and making us look good in the process.

There’s an insanely beautiful Sheela na Gig scarf made by Lee Boyle, a Father Ted inspired piece from Cúpla Design, and merch from the likes of Kneecap, Lankum and Pillow Queens among our top picks, as well as the An Phalaistín Scarf designed by Spice Bag that raised well over €10,000 for the Palestinian Red Crescent.

Here are our favourite Irish design scarves on the scene right now…
