Jorts: The jean short trend harking back to the 90s

Daisy Dukes are out, jorts (or jean shorts) are in.

Jorts have taken over as the short style du jour, replacing micro mini cut-offs as the fashion set’s favourite silhouette. Reminiscent of the 90s sk8er boi look, the baggier shape is intrinsically linked with hip-hop culture and it’s seeing a comeback thanks to Gen Z and their love of noughties trends.

Comfortable and laid-back, they’re a practical summer staple best worn with a simple tank top and your favourite shoes – be they black boots, dad sandals or even a pair of kitten heels.
