Our bedside tables really are a sacred space. They’re where we stash our essentials, the things we reach for first thing in the morning and last thing at night. The staffers share what’s on theirs.

I go through phases of reading. At the moment I feel inspired to become the best, coolest version of myself, so I have returned to Sally Rooney’s Conversations with Friends.
A lip balm is non-negotiable for me. I suffer with dry skin, and especially dry and chapped lips in the colder months. The Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment is always by my side.
An aim of mine for this year is to take better care of my skin. To ensure I do this even when I’m at my most tired, I keep a night cream by my bed. That way I have no excuses. The Skin Formulas one is my go-to.
Wherever I travel in the world, I ensure I pick up a newspaper and magazine (or two) from said country. The addition of The New York Times and The New Yorker prove to be a great piece of decor. Most importantly though, I always keep the most recent issue of IMAGE nearby at all times. There’s nothing I love more than a lazy morning, chilling in bed, with a coffee and IMAGE Magazine in my hand.

My bedside table varies between immaculately organised and Pinterest-esque to a complete and utter disaster area, depending on the week! However, I do have a few essentials that I keep beside me at all times when I’m going to bed.
I never go to bed without spraying my pillow with my Ground Wellbeing Sleep Pillow Spray. This is my holy grail bedside table product, and I can confidently say that I never get a better night’s sleep than when I use it. One or two sprays is plenty, and the one I got for Christmas will last me for months!
I will always have a book on my bedside table, and I try to read at least a chapter or two each night. Currently I’m reading Alchemised by SenLinYu which I’m not going to lie isn’t the most relaxing book to read before going to bed, and usually keeps me up way later than intended. But I would always prefer this to being on my phone right before I go to sleep.
As a long-time sufferer of chapped lips, my Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask has been my saving grace for many years. I’m currently loving the Vanilla flavour, but they have so many options that you could nearly seasonally colour coordinate your bedside table if you want to.
Finally, a recent addition to my bedside table has been the Lumie Bodyclock Glow 150 wake-up alarm. One of my 2026 resolutions was to kick the phone out of the bedroom, and this has been a brilliant solution to waking up more naturally in the morning. I’ve only had it for about a week, so will report back if I notice any long term advantages.

As I’m renting in central Dublin my beside table is extremely small, so I have to be very selective about what makes the cut.
I always have a book close by, my current read is Fun and Games by John Patrick McHugh. It’s absolutely captivating, although I wouldn’t recommend it before bed if you’re prone to nightmares about your Leaving Cert!
To unwind before bed, I love a few little luxuries, and my Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla is such a nightly treat. It sits beside a Max Benjamin Hand Cream and whatever candle is currently on rotation — right now, it’s this gorgeous Vanilla & Sandalwood scent from Brooke & Shoals (there’s a strong vanilla theme going at the moment).

By my bed, I always have my silk eye mask which helps me drift off in total darkness. During the winter, I’m constantly fighting a losing battle with dry lips and dry hands, so I have Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream for my lips, and Aveeno Skin Relief hand cream that I apply just before I go to sleep. Both feel a little old-ladyish in the best way – not trendy at all, but so, so effective. And finally, I always have a stack of books – I’m currently reading Mongrel by Hanako Footman, an absolutely beautiful book about three women whose lives are intertwined.

My bedside table is currently being taken over entirely by a very intimidating and teetering pile of books that are demanding to be read. I just picked up Jan Carson’s The Fire Starters, and am very much enjoying it so far. I’ll light some incense (I love The Burren Incense from Be Kind Industries) while I bury my head in my book. I will also sip some water from my very fabulous Jerpoint Glass Studio tumbler, because why would anything on my nightstand not be devastatingly beautiful?
I’ve been doing a lot of travelling this month, which has meant that my skin is very dehydrated and just generally annoyed with me. The Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is genuinely my holy grail skincare product, so I always remember to kiss it goodnight. Same goes for the VOYA Reparative Hand Cream and my sweet baby angel bottle of Olbas Oil that I bring everywhere with me. It is technically a decongestant, but the smell always sends me straight to sleep.
In the morning’s, I reach for POCO Beauty’s Universal Glow Illuminating Eye Cream, to help de-puff my undereye area and wake up my face. Then I definitely won’t doomscroll for half an hour!

At the moment, I have my current book, Conversations With Friends by Sally Rooney. I know I’m late to the game but this is my first time reading a Sally Rooney novel and I cannot put it down. I try to keep my bedside locker clean, so we have a cute coaster for a cup of tea, a soy candle, a dish for all my jewellery (big fan of Carolyn Donnelly homeware in Dunnes for dinky bits) and a recent present, a Lumie alarm clock, which has been a game changer this dark and dreary January in giving us some fake sunlight in the morning time.

I just bought the first of The Seven Sisters book series by Lucinda Riley. They’re described as an epic series of stories about love and loss, so I hope it helps me to unwind and shut my brain off just before bed.
I love my Yankee aromatherapy plug-in that my friend bought for Christmas. It shuts itself off, so no need to worry about falling asleep! I also need my Lumi alarm to wake me in a nice natural way.

My bedside has become a bit of a sacred space, where I wind down for the night. It’s full woo-woo, and I love every second of it! First up is a stick of Paolo Santo which I burn to start off the bedtime ritual, next l pull a card from a deck of Conscious Clarity cards from Tara Mar, and light a beautiful candle I was gifted recently from Nicola Connolly from Nunaia (which sits beside my pink quartz crystal, of course). I finish the ritual with some GROUND Wellbeing Night Body Oil and CBD Balm rubbed into my back or wherever needs some love, and then I’ll open whatever book I’m currently reading. At the moment it’s All Fours by Miranda July, whose incredible prose reads a bit like a sexy slightly neurotic Nora Ephron. The perfect end to a probably chaotic day.

I am a fiend for a packed bedside table. Always within reach are my Voduz Silk Eye Mask and my Loop Earplugs. I try to use my Manucurist Cuticle Oil every night before bed (though my cuticles reflect otherwise.) I also keep Matcha Bubble Tea lip mask from Laneige (a gift from my lovely colleague Helen) and the Brow Aid Brow & Lash Recovery Mask on my nightstand. Finally, I have a copy of Guinness: A Family Succession: The True Story of the Struggle to Create the World’s Largest Brewery and the latest copy of IMAGE magazine to hand – trying keeping my bedside analog for 2026.
