Dalkey Book Festival

Founded in 2010 by Sian Smyth and David McWilliams, the Dalkey Book Festival celebrates literary talent in Ireland while welcoming some of the world’s leading writers and thinkers to Dalkey each June. Drawing on the town’s rich literary heritage and scenic coastal setting, the festival has hosted internationally renowned authors, world leaders, Oscar winners and Nobel laureates. This year’s line-up includes Salman Rushdie, Sebastian Faulks, Lea Ypi, Tim Berners-Lee, David McWilliams, Neil Jordan and Roddy Doyle. A must-visit festival in a truly beautiful setting.
West Cork Literary Festival

The West Cork Literary Festival is an eight-day celebration of writing and reading in Bantry, Co. Cork, bringing together acclaimed Irish and international authors for readings, seminars, masterclasses and workshops. Presented by West Cork Music, the inclusive festival also features family events and emerging writers, offering a vibrant programme for audiences of all ages. This year’s lineup includes Miriam O’ Callaghan, Katriona O’ Sullivan, Charlie Mackesy and Dearbhla Mescal.

The Dublin Book Festival is one of Ireland’s leading literary events, celebrating Irish writing and publishing since 2006 in the heart of Dublin’s literary cityscape. The annual festival brings together established and emerging writers across genres for readings, discussions and lively conversations that explore the art of storytelling in an accessible, engaging setting. The 2026 flagship festival takes place from 4–8 November, with pop-up events running throughout the year.
