Founded by Grainne and Arthur Cassidy in 2018 after a struggle to find trendy, affordable furniture that appealed to them, the pair decided to quit their day jobs, sell their house and pool their love of design and set up Pieces. Now, their days are spent organising orders and sourcing the best of the best stock directly from quality manufacturers for their store on Prussia Street, Stoneybatter, where they’ve got their own in-house interior designer to help with all your interior queries.
Delivering nationwide (for free!), Pieces stock a wide range of products from dining tables and chairs, sofas, rugs and lighting, and it’s their excellent selection of outdoor furniture that’s really caught our attention. They’ve got quite the selection of Italian design pieces from a manufacturer with whom they’ve been working for six years now, encompassing dining tables and chairs, lounge chairs and outdoor sofas.
Completely weather-protected, mould and water resistant, with cushions that can be removed and washed, the items with the Maximo, Net and Rio ranges are stackable, light and easy to move. The Maximo range is modular, so you can add to the collection, turning your armchair into a two-seater or breaking your corner unit into a three-seater and a two-seater.
This year, Nardi have released a small coffee table within the collection, as well as a clip-on side table, allowing customers to tailor the shape and functionality of their modular outdoor sofa easily. This is a luxury outdoor sofa, which will bring style and comfort to any garden. It is a generous and cosy sit.
One of the first ranges Pieces got in from Nardi that remains as popular today as ever is the Net range. It’s available in a two-seater bench, a Relax armchair and lounge chair, as well as a dining chair and coffee table. There’s also a new addition this year in the form of the 40cm side table for smaller spaces. Available in six different and fun colourways, the range can be enhanced with the addition of a cushion – with nine options in the cushions.
The Rio range features a stunning table available in two extendable sizes, and is also available in a coated aluminium or the standard DurelTOP in polypropylene with UV additives and uniformly coloured. The Rio range also comes with a matching bench that’s a generous 195cm long. The table and bench are available in three colours: white, anthracite and tortora.
