The best pieces from the new Uniqlo x JW Anderson collection

The best pieces from the new Uniqlo x JW Anderson collection

Northern Irish designer JW Anderson’s second capsule collection for Uniqlo went on sale today. Like Anderson’s first outing with the Japanese retailer, the bedrock of this collection is elevated essentials. Anderson has a way of taking staples and giving them a stylish twist so that they become “pieces”, yet he never compromises their inherent utilitarian nature. At London fashion week earlier this year, style setters everywhere were wearing not just Anderson’s mainline collection but his Uniqlo pieces too. So if you want to add a bit of credibility to your spring/summer wardrobe, take a look at our edit of the best pieces from the new Uniqlo x JW Anderson collection.

A Breton stripe always looks fresh and chic in summer, but Anderson has added a lovely point of difference to this T-shirt by giving it an asymmetric hemline.

Cotton striped T-shirt, €24.90

I LOVE this sweater. The seagull motif is so cute and a very fresh way of introducing maritime chic to your look. I’ll be snapping this up in cream and in navy.

Cotton crew neck sweater, €39.90

Colour-blocking is such an easy way to add a fashion edge to a simple parka. This piece is ideal for April showers when more traditional parkas simply become too heavy. It also wraps up neatly into a drawstring bag.

Pocketable parka, €39.90

A shirtdress is a real wardrobe staple. It can be worn as a dress, as a coat and it can be easily layered over jeans and trousers. This extra-fine cotton version will feel as good to wear as it looks on.

Extra-fine cotton shirtdress, €59.90
