Lip service: 5 of our favourite beauty influencers share their holy grail lipstick shade

by Aisling Keenan

Irish beauty influencers know everything there is to know about what’s hot, what’s new and what’s worth buying. But in a saturated market, what’s their all-time fave lipstick?

I asked some of Ireland’s best-known beauty influencers what their holy grail shade was… and the results might surprise you!

“Although it’s definitely the most drying matte lipstick I own, MAC’s Runway Hit, is my favourite! It’s a bright, warm coral that makes your teeth look super white and your lips look ridiculously plump. I prefer to wear it with a liner, MAC Spice being my all time favourite.”

“As someone who is a lipstick hoarder… I mean… collector, you might think that my holy grail lipstick might be something bright, colourful or bold. Alas, no. Time and time again, I reach for a lipstick that is pretty much the exact same colour as my lips… Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Lips in Pillowtalk is everything I look for in a lipstick. It has great colour payoff, has a glossy finish, is moisturising but doesn’t have too much slip that longevity is an issue. It’s even more perfect than the original Pillowtalk formula and I am in The Love with it.”

“Charlotte Tilbury’s Very Victoria is hands down the perfect nude shade. It’s inspired by the iconic Victoria Beckham so it’s a pared-back, ‘your lips but better’ colour that goes with any kind of make-up look. Pillowtalk is nothing compared to Very Victoria, trust me.”

“My holy grail lipstick has to be MAC’s Blankety. It is the perfect nude for my skin tone without being too pink or too brown. It is not a matte lipstick so it is not drying on the lips and has a nice sheen to it. It retails at €20 in MAC, Brown Thomas. I like to pair it with Whirl lip liner, also from MAC.”

“Lipstick is my number one make-up product! I change up my go-to colour every few months. Right now the one I can’t live without in my bag is Charlotte Tilbury’s Bitch Perfect shade. This lipstick is the perfect peachy pink, and its creamy texture leaves your lips feeling soft and nourished. The colour is ideal as your everyday nude lipstick, or you can dress it up with a slightly darker liner to give it that extra wow. I love to pair it with MAC’s Whirl liner.”
