Here’s how I levelled up my work-from-home set-up in two simple steps

Tempted by the portable walking pad trend, I paired one with this standing desk and my home office set-up has been well and truly elevated.

I recently upgraded to the FlexiSpot E7 Pro for my home office, and as someone who juggles video calls, creative work, and long work days, I have to say: I’m genuinely impressed. I opted for a grey desktop with a white frame, and it fits beautifully in my cosy setup. The design is sleek and polished, with soft corners and thoughtful aesthetics that make it not just functional, but super comforting.

Assembly and set-up

Putting it together was fairly straightforward but you definitely need two people, as the frame is quite heavy for one person to carry on their own. I also needed drill support for the cables. With two people it was a walk in the park though!

Smooth adjustment

The dual motors are impressively quiet and powerful. Adjusting from sitting to standing is very smooth, and the memory panel—with up to four presets—makes switching positions effortless. There’s also a handy USB-A port built in.

Stability and space

At sitting height, the desk feels rock-solid. I can type away without a hint of wobble! At standing height, there’s a slight sway, but it’s minimal. Plus, it’s definitely less bulky than I thought a standing desk would be.

Cable management

I love the magnetic cover and cable tray under the desk, they keep everything tidy and hidden, which helps me maintain a clean and minimal aesthetic and means my dogs and rabbits aren’t tempted to chew the wires like they have done on multiple occasions!

Value and final thoughts

Yes, the E7 Pro is on the pricier side, but the build quality, quiet motors, thoughtful design, and sheer stability justify the investment. For me, it’s been a real productivity booster, helping me avoid afternoon slumps—I can jump onto the walking pad—and is much kinder to my posture during long workdays.

As someone working from home, the E7 Pro feels premium, reliable, and thoughtfully designed. Easy to assemble, incredibly stable, beautifully styled, and delightfully functional, this desk is a standout in my setup.

I also enhanced my home office setup by pairing my FlexiSpot E7 Pro with the MotionX-GP01 Portable Under-Desk Treadmill and it’s been a game-changer for both productivity and wellbeing.

When not using the chair, the Flexispot walking pad is ideal for getting your steps in while on calls or while waiting for that lightbulb moment during long hours! It’s small and compact so doesn’t take up much room but means that on the days where the weather doesn’t play ball—which in Ireland happens a lot, let’s be fair!—this walking pad is your best friend and is a great tool in assisting with the mid afternoon slump!

The MotionX-GP01 has added a dynamic layer to my workflow. It’s very compact and rolls away effortlessly when not in use. The speed range is just enough to walk lightly while typing or dialling in on calls. It’s very quiet so I can walk during Zoom meetings without disrupting anyone.

It also includes six preset programs, adjustable incline, a handy LED display, and a magnetic remote that stores right on the treadmill. The ergonomic, shock-absorbing frame supports up and makes my daily walks feel surprisingly comfortable.

The desk looks great, the treadmill keeps me moving, and my workspace feels a lot more dynamic now. Backed by a 2-year warranty, it’s a reliable choice for anyone seeking long-term durability without compromising on smooth operation or load capacity.

FlexiSpot’s ninth anniversary sale is now on, with up to 50% off on site.
