6 places Vogue Williams looks to for colourful home inspiration

IMAGE.ie's interiors columnist Vogue Williams shares the accounts she looks to for cheery, colourful interiors inspiration, from Irish interior designers to architects.

I find a lot of my home inspiration from different designers and architects. I follow a lot of online accounts, particularly on Instagram because it’s visual and you can see products in place before you decide to buy. It’s also a great place to find artwork and I follow a lot of my favourite artists and buy pieces for my home.

I thought with this article I would show you my favourite Irish ones to follow. I have been lucky enough to work with many of these creatives and my home is full of pieces I have procured through them.

BOSS studios

I have always said that when my husband and I move house in London we are getting BOSS studios to help us style our new place. They create the most beautiful spaces for their clients and although they are friends of mine, I would like to be their client! They have just brought out their own line of furniture and all of the pieces are beautiful. I own a few pieces from them with the aim of eventually owning the whole collection. Their Instagram is bursting with marble, chic designs and fun pieces.

Suzie McAdam

Suzie McAdam is an Irish interior designer and I adore her work, I’m a huge fan of a lot of colour and she is always on board for that. I adore her use of wallpaper and amazing lighting to create a space that is specific to one home. She has an eye for pieces that might scare you but when you see them in a space you will want all of them!

Ventura Design

Ventura Design is fabulous, I worked with them on my house in Howth and when I go home I always feel such a sense of calm. I am someone who loves colour but living by the sea in Howth I wanted more muted tones and they do this perfectly. Their account is great to follow and they always have lovely ideas for any home.

Geri Designs

Geri Designs is another Irish designer I met a long time ago. I just really enjoy her page and she offers online consultations which would be really helpful for anyone wanting to re-do even one room. She will show you how the process works from start to finish and how you can use tones and textures to create a space you love.

Kingston Lafferty Design

I adore Roisin Lafferty’s page. I love how she uses a lot of dark colours without making the room seem cold and suggests things you wouldn’t think of doing yourself. The bathrooms she has on her page are out of this world, the tiles are always so beautiful and it’s nice to swoon over all the marble!

Wilson Hill Architects

Wilson Hill Architects utilise space so well, all of their properties are filled with light.
