A Dublin basement apartment has become a design menagerie thanks to the creativity of Suzanne Martin and Alex Milton.

There are little pieces of history emanating from Suzanne and Alex’s Georgian basement apartment. From the original 17th-century flagstone floor, carefully preserved by its owners John Aboud and John Hanley, to the Georgian graffiti left exposed on the kitchen door. “They told us that during the renovations that they even hid things in the walls: train sets and glass photographs,” says Suzanne.
