‘The Office’ reunion show may be happening sooner than we think

The Office creator just announced that the cult favourite may be returning to our home screens.

In an exciting and unexpected development, The Office could have new episodes on the way. 

The creator of the hit series, Greg Daniels, recently revealed that a show reunion may be in the works.

When talking to E! News, Daniels explained that the show is moving from Netflix to NBC’s streaming service Peacock, which has opened up more possibilities for filming new episodes.

“I think it’s probably more likely now that the show is on Peacock,” he said, “but no plans right now certainly.”

However, plans for the reunion may be happening sooner than we think. Daniels just has to work out a way forward for the storyline first.

“People are more open to it now it seems. The issue is — what is left to be said about the characters?” he explained.

“The weird thing about that is when we ended it, we jumped forward a year and a lot of them aren’t working [at Dunder Mifflin] anymore.”

One idea he has is to film “lost episodes” that take place in the early 2000s, rather than bringing the show into modern day.

“It would be fun to find some lost episodes and shoot them as if they were back in 2010 or something,” he said.

Whatever Daniels decides, we can’t wait to see Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam and all our other cast favourites back at their usual office antics.
