Royal Kill List: The Warrant Series 1, Sky History/NOW

Royal Kill List looks back at one of the most seismic events in British royal history; when a British monarch was publicly executed for the first and only time. On January 30, 1649, King Charles I was publicly executed having been tried and convicted of treason by Parliament. This heralded 10 years of Britain as a republic before, in May 1660, the monarchy was restored with the accession of King Charles II. Told through dramatic reconstruction, with actors serving as primary storytellers, this new mini-series plays out as a Jacobean tragedy detailing the king’s lifelong obsession with revenge.

Filmed on location in Co Wicklow, it seems Ms. Lohan was so smitten with Ireland that she “didn’t want to leave”.

All about the high-stakes hunt for John Wilkes Booth, it’s based on The New York Times bestselling nonfiction book from author James L. Swanson. Coming to Apple TV+ this week, the seven-part limited series stars Emmy Award-winning actor Tobias Menzies.
