It's a great week for film and TV fans as Jessie Buckley stars in The Bride! alongside Christian Bale, while Cillian Murphy returns as Thomas Shelby and Barry Keoghan makes his appearance as his son in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.

March 4

Young Sherlock, Amazon Prime

With all the wit and charm of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes feature films, Young Sherlock follows the origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved detective in an explosive re-imagining of this iconic character’s early days. Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, Netflix

Cillian Murphy returns to our screens as Tommy Shelby amid the chaos of World War II. Returning from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet, the future of his family and country is at stake, and Shelby must face his demons and choose whether to confront his legacy or burn it to the ground. Barry Keoghan also joins the cast as Tommy Shelby’s son, Duke.

The Bride!, cinemas everywhere

The synopsis for the film reads: “A lonely Frankenstein travels to 1930s Chicago to seek the aid of a Dr Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman, and the Bride is born. She is beyond what either of them intended, igniting a combustible romance, the attention of the police, and a wild and radical social movement. Jessie Buckley stars as the titular character, Christian Bale plays Frankenstein’s monster, and Maggie Gyllenhaal directs.
