What the IMAGE staffers pack for a summer girls’ trip

On a recent excursion to Glasson Lakehouse, team IMAGE put F&F’s summer collection to good use as they soaked up the sun poolside.

F&F Clothing’s new summer collection at Tesco will make you want to book a girls’ trip ASAP. From breezy slip skirts, drawstring trousers and asymmetric waistcoats to straw hats, sandals and totes, you can pull together gorgeous looks that will serve you through the summer and beyond – accessories and all.

When packing for a recent trip to Glasson Lakehouse, the IMAGE editorial team pulled together a series of outfits entirely from the F&F summer range, and it’s safe to say we’ll be mixing and matching these pieces all season long.

“A girls’ trip calls for three essential elements: poolside cocktails, comfortable clothing that still looks elevated, and good company,” says Sarah. “At Glasson Lakehouse, we had all in abundance.”

“I love a maxi skirt, and F&F have beautiful, flowy slip skirts that can be dressed up or down depending on your mood. I paired the cream coloured maxi with a gorgeous green cami with asymmetric lace detailing, and a lovely chocolate brown cardigan to pull over my shoulders when the inevitable breeze set in. The cardigan has a matching knit vest, and I was a big fan of the textures together for a more monochrome, all-brown look.”

“A girls’ weekend away is such a rarity now, I have to make sure I make the most of it when it happens!” Dominique says. “For me, that starts with an outfit – I’m always looking for something that makes me feel gorgeous, confident and comfortable. I want something I can pull out of my bag, pair with a great accessory like sunglasses or a beautiful bangle, and not have to think about again (so I can focus on the fun at hand!).”

“I love nothing more than a girls’ trip away!” Amber says. “I adore co-ords. I always feel like they’re so easy to throw on and look chic and elevated, so I really like this asymmetrical cream suit. It was so lightweight, and perfect for holidays, events and warm weather. I also picked up this gorgeous brown ruched top and skirt from F&F and it felt so comfortable. Both of the matching sets are ideal to swap and change, which is even better. I themed both outfits with a brown woven bag and some oval sunnies from the summer range too – both are becoming staples in my everyday wardrobe.”

“When it comes to girls’ getaway dressing, it’s about style and ease for me,” says Édaein. “Dresses are my summer go-to, and I love the brown midi dress from F&F. It’s flattering and feminine, especially when accessorised with a hat and bag. A little black dress will never do you wrong, even in the warmer months, and I know I’ll be reaching for this black mini dress over the coming weeks.”
