Dream Point Dublin steps through the looking glass with an ‘Alice’s Wonderland’ immersive takeover

If you’re looking for something a little different to do in Dublin this spring, this might be it. The team behind Dream Point has announced its most ambitious venue transformation yet, an Alice in Wonderland inspired immersive takeover landing in the Docklands later this month.

Launching March 23, Alice’s Wonderland will see the 21,000 square foot venue at Point Square completely reimagined as a surreal, interactive world inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

The experience blends AI-generated visuals, 360-degree projections and playful installations across Dream Point’s multi-room space, inviting visitors to step inside a dreamlike reinterpretation of the classic story. The immersive takeover follows the venue’s opening in April last year, when the €3 million attraction introduced Dublin audiences to its “world of dreams” concept, a series of large-scale digital art rooms designed for exploration, play and plenty of photo opportunities.

“We are incredibly proud to be bringing this exclusive Irish premiere to Dublin,” said Dream Point co-founder Dan Gleeson. “Alice’s Wonderland blends cutting-edge digital art, AI-generated visuals and original scenography to create something that feels truly transportive. From the moment you step inside, the world begins to shift, time bends, space transforms and the familiar becomes wonderfully strange.”

At the centre of the new experience is a 20 minute immersive show inside Dream Point’s Projection Room. Using floor-to-ceiling 360-degree visuals and cinematic soundscapes, the installation transforms the architecture of the space into a dynamic storytelling canvas, guiding visitors through a contemporary take on Wonderland.

Elsewhere in the venue, several of Dream Point’s signature rooms have been reimagined with playful nods to the beloved story. The Balloon Room will feature a glowing Cheshire Cat-inspired installation, created using UV lighting effects that appear and disappear in a nod to the character’s famously mischievous grin. Meanwhile, the Draw Alive Room becomes the setting for a Mad Tea Party, where guests can sit around a custom-built table enhanced with projection mapping that creates the illusion of a whimsical, ever-changing tea scene.

In the venue’s inflatable forest, a dramatic falling tree projection symbolises the moment Alice enters Wonderland, creating a visual gateway between the ordinary and the fantastical. Dream Point’s giant ball pit, the largest in Ireland, will also get a Wonderland update, surrounded by oversized inflatable mushrooms to create a colourful fantasy landscape.

According to co-founder John Gleeson, the experience is designed to appeal to visitors of all ages, whether that’s families looking for a day out, school groups, or anyone in search of a playful date idea. “With Alice’s Wonderland, we aren’t just telling a story, we’re inviting visitors to become part of it,” he said.

A range of Alice-themed merchandise and souvenirs will also be available on site. For those in search of a playful escape from reality, this Wonderland promises a colourful, curious journey where imagination takes the lead.

The immersive takeover opens Monday, March 23, with early bird tickets available now at dreampointexperience.ie, @dreampointexperience.
