A snazzy new website means the loveliest things in Dublin are now even easier to buy?

It’s no secret that the Image Interiors & Living team is a big fan of all things?Article, the chic and inspiring design store in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre that offers an elegant modern edit of covetable items, new Irish labels, and the hottest international homewares.

To mark the launch of Article’s new?website – and of course the July/August edition of Image Interiors & Living magazine – we caught up with owner John Adams to find out what the new site means for Dublin’s design mecca.

PS – Don’t miss our pick of the season’s most gorgeous ceramics and metalware, featured on pages 36?40 of our latest issue!

Congratulations on the new website, John! What added features does it have?
Our old website was really just to give information on the shop and show a small selection of products. The new site, designed by Sean Mongey of?a-ok studio, gives us scope to show many more products – though still only a selection – and more importantly it is also transactional. We can now deliver worldwide, and being in Dublin’s?Powerscourt Townhouse Centre we have a great number of tourists who might not be able carry things back with them. In fact, our very first order on the first day we went live was to Australia!

Are you introducing new lines into the mix?
Although we have three main seasons in the shop – spring, autumn and Christmas – I try to keep things fresh and bring new things throughout the year. So we will always have new products coming in but we will stick to our core areas of tabletop, decorative accessories and stationery.

What is your very favourite thing in the store right now?
The Glacis tableware from?Jars Ceramics – they are each handmade in the South of France and are really strong, but also beautiful to use.

What’s next for Article?
While I’m really excited about our great new website, the shop remains my main focus; to me it will always be more important to have a welcoming, aspirational place that people can visit and be inspired. It’s about continually updating the range and bringing in new suppliers.
