A new report has analysed over 20 countries that make for attractive yet affordable wedding destinations, and created a top ten list of the best budget-friendly locations.

According to a November 2025 report compiled by wedding retailer JJ’s House, Vietnam ranks as the number one best wedding destination on a budget, boasting the most affordable food and beverages, photography and flower costs.

In terms of popularity, India takes the top spot with 167k internet searches every month relating to weddings in the region. France and Italy remain the eternal dream for many, but given their steep costs, they remain firmly at the tail end of the list.

The report looked at the typical wedding expenses for wedding destinations, calculating an average for a celebration with 50 guests. The costs included the venue, food and beverages, wedding planner, photography, design and flowers, and music. The analysis ranked the countries by the total costs and added online interest to see which destinations are already popular among couples planning their wedding.

Let’s dig into the top five…

1. Vietnam

Vietnam ranks as the most affordable destination for weddings, with the total costs averaging €6.34k for a wedding of 50. Food and beverages are the cheapest on the list, offering a package for 50 guests at €1,540. Photography and flower services are also the most affordable in the top ten, both costing around €430. Online interest is high too, with 20.6k searches every month.

2. Morocco

Beautiful, colourful wedding venues in Morocco cost an average of just over €1,000, while food and drink are slightly pricier at €2.1k. Still, though, a destination wedding for under €7.5k sounds pretty good to us.

3. India

With an average total cost amounting to €7.8k, a wedding in India is by far the most popular destination among newlyweds, with 167k searches rolling in monthly. Almost €3k of that comes from the venue, and €1.5k comes from the professional photo and video services.

4. Chile

The first South American destination on the list, Chile, offers wedding venues for only €2.1k, cheaper than in India. The food and beverages would cost €2.7k here, while just over €800 would be charged for design and flowers. The total price of the wedding ceremony in Chile averages just over €8,000.

5. Colombia

Rounding out the top five, the total cost of a wedding in Colombia would average out at just under €9.5k. Here, renting the venue would cost €2k, less than in Vietnam or India, while food and drinks would cost €1.7k, the third-cheapest option on the list.

The rest of the list is made up of the Dominican Republic, Georgia, Brazil, Peru and Thailand. Keeping costs down while creating an unforgettable experience, destination weddings are set to be all the rage for 2026. Watch this space.
