The IMAGE staffers share what’s on their shopping wishlist for 2026

From fresh interior picks to fashion essentials for the year ahead, here’s what’s in the team IMAGE shopping basket for 2026.

Shayna (Sappington) Healy, Branded Content Editor and Wedding Editor

I’ve recently moved into a new house, and would love to add some touches to bring life and personality into our space. From funky lamps and pastel nightstands, to a colourful Irish-made rug and decorative tray, here’s everything on my list! Tip: All the beautiful trays I like are upwards of €200, so I’m going to go with this wooden Ikea round tray, then add an adhesive paper inside it with a fun pattern to make it unique!

All things chrome interiors are taking over my feeds at the moment. I’ve just purchased this €15 JYSK lamp to scratch the silver itch, but now I have the entire H&M Home stainless steel collection taking over all of my tabs, particularly this cup and saucer. At this rate, my home will look like a spaceship by the end of the month.

This chic Charles & Keith Calla Tote in Espresso Brown, €115, was a Christmas gift from team IMAGE and I can’t imagine a more perfect work bag. It has everything you might require of a work bag – elegant elongated straps with the exactly right shoulder balance that they’re not falling down all the time, large enough to fit a laptop but small enough to not fit much else so you can’t overdo it on your other essentials, a little interior pouch to contain all your loose bits and most importantly, a very sophisticated little silhouette to make all your outfits cooler.

I kicked off 2026 with a purchase that’s been on my wishlist for quite some time now: these fun structured Docs with a square toe, boxy heel and cherry red pop that I just adore. Of course this purchase was immediately followed by chunky socks and blister plasters. I’m actually sulking with the boots now for what they did to my lovely supple heels on my first wear, but once I break them in I’m confident we’ll never fight again.

An occupational hazard of working on our Irish Design Spotlight feature week in, week out is that it’s left me pining for pieces from all of the best new names in the biz. An iridescent purple ripple bubble bag from Marmala? Yes I obviously need that. New cosies from Mundo Moo? A zip up in every colour of course. A cardigan from Hope Macaulay that I quite literally dreamt about last week? I want two. My life is actually very hard, you really should try walking a mile in my unbroken-in boots.

I’d really like to work on my gallery wall game this year, and I adore this Storm Candles print by David Smith, and the dizzyingly gorgeous Submerge print from Ann Marie Webb. And at the end of the day, I’m just a girl, standing in front of the Pellador website, willing it to restock their green cable knit.

I can proudly say I’ve taken a step back from shopping (if a break since Black Friday counts?), but that means my wishlist has grown exponentially since! With that being said, there’s never been a time where I’ve not bought myself exactly what I wanted, so maybe 2026 is the year I stick to a wishlist.

I’m now trying to buy more investment pieces, and want to stop buying for the sake of having something. Top of my list is this pair of Dr Martens. I think my wardrobe is in need of a pair of loafers! This pair is another fabulous, and more affordable option.

Sticking with investment pieces, I’m on the hunt for a nice, good quality and—more importantly—good fitting pair of jeans. I recently started following Megan Mullen on TikTok, and after seeing these jeans in a few videos, I have not been able to stop thinking about them since. I like to treat myself to something nice every year, and think a pair of Nilli Lotan jeans may be my 2026 purchase!

Hannah Monaghan, Art Designer

My 2026 wishlist is equal parts sensible and completely indulgent. At the top is a pair of Salomons. I love that such a practical shoe has become fashion approved, making daily walks feel instantly elevated.

A new year always brings a new bag obsession, and Verified NYC has had my attention for a while. The Éclair Bag is a standout with its three way wear, from clutch to short handle to shoulder bag. Girl math says that counts as three bags!

The Victoria Beckham foundation drops have also landed firmly on my 2026 beauty wishlist, feeling like the kind of everyday luxury makeup worth the investment. Finally, La Bonne Brosse has been calling my name. The boar bristles help distribute natural oils through the hair, leaving it softer, shinier, and healthier, making the splurge feel almost justified.

Dearbhla Lovett, IMAGE First Activations Freelancer

One of my toxic traits is that I am an extremely impulsive person, so when I get something into my head that I want, I will find a way to get it ASAP. That is of course unless it is extremely out of budget, which most of my dreams are. For this year, I want to set a realistic wishlist to travel more and experience more activities and staycations around Ireland rather than material items. Top of my Irish travel wishlist is to visit Killarney, Waterford and a trip to the Aran Islands, with lots of Irish hikes and day trips in between.

However, that being said I cannot resist a cute unrealistic wardrobe wishlist! 2026 for me is about adding colour, texture and even more drama to my wardrobe. On my wishlist the last two years is an Aran Sweater from Colin Burke. So these sleeves not scream drama to you? I also have my friends in Australia warned I could be getting this Australian brand, Bubish delivered to their house to bring home for me so that we can save on customs (I am from Cavan let’s not forget)! Their pastel feather tops are so playful and would match every single thing in my wardrobe (whether it does or not, we need to justify all purchases).
