Testino’s Towels

By IMAGE
22nd Feb 2014

Picasso had his blue period. Mario Testino has his #towelseries.

The Peruvian fashion photographer’s Instagram has become an occasional home to candid shots of the world’s top models wrapped only in towels in between shoots. Kate Moss was the first trailblazing subject, of course, followed by Miranda Kerr, Kate Upton and a NSFW Miley Cyrus. Testino has christened his new creative avenue the #towelseries and considering he’s one of the fashion industries most sought after photographers it looks like these informal portraits will be gathering beautiful company.

However, Testino is appreciative of all genders’ downtime beauty regime and even includes catwalk king David Gandy giving the camera his best Harlequin Presents impression.

P.S. Did you know Mario Testino’s mother is Irish? Well now you do.
