Street Style To Inspire A Seriously Cool But Casual Look

Street Style To Inspire A Seriously Cool But Casual Look

Does your casual wear need a little love? If so, take inspiration from these stars of the street, who have found the perfect formula for super-cool but casual wear.

We all love denim, but don’t you sometimes tire of jeans as your default weekend wardrobe? Swap them for a pair of wide-leg trousers and layer up in the same way you would a pair of jeans; with a shirt and a sweater. The chartreuse shade of the cropped jumper below injects a real energy to this outfit.

I love the effortlessness of these separates. Monochrome with a shot of colour looks casual but put-together. Cropped trousers and trainers is a preppy combination that appears comfortable but on-trend, and stripes inject the whole look with a fresh maritime-chic vibe.

How easy and chic does this outfit look? A striped trouser injects this ensemble with a sportswear-inspired vibe that feels just right for lounging around at the weekend. I love the plaid overcoat. It creates a touch of drama, with its sweeping silhouette, but it is also wonderfully practical.

Try a pair of overalls. They’re an easy throw-on if you get the right fit and cut for your frame. Turning up the hems adds a little bit of individuality to the look below. I love how this very utilitarian piece, complete with zips and side pockets, has been styled with a pretty pair of white mules. It creates a really effective contrast.
