Lidl’s Sexy Lingerie Range

Lidl’s Sexy Lingerie Range

Just yesterday, this writer’s face turned a particular shade of pink as a suspicious package arrived at her desk. Inside it was a striking piece of lacey lingerie, accompanied by a note and a phone number. As colleagues gathered around wondering who would be so bold as to send something so naughty into a working environment, my face went from pink to red right through to a ‘should we bring her to hospital?’ shade of purple.

The big news? It was from Lidl. Yes, Lidl, who we turn to for affordable vegetables and, randomly, brilliant ski gear, have added another string to their bow: underwear. Of course, this is all nicely timed ahead of Valentine’s Day. (Meanwhile, I’ve returned to my normal colour, however am left with a bitter feeling that this was not in fact from a secret – albeit creepy – admirer.)

Words from the sexy German brand:

“Wow your loved one with a beautiful selection of lingerie, including an elegant Lace Chemise (?7.99), a sleek Bodysuit (?7.99) and a delicate Push-Up Bra (?5.99) and matching Thong (?4.99) – all available in a selection of sizes and colours, including Champagne, black and red.”

For that price, they certainly get a ‘wow’ from us. And they look pretty good too!

If underwear isn’t your thing this Valentine’s Day, they’ve got less revealing treats to choose from:

Deluxe Irish Chocolate Selection (?5.99);?Prosecco DOC Frizzante for only €7.99; Lidl’s signature fragrance Suddenly Madame Glamour (?3.49); a Valentine’s Teddy Bear (?3.99), a cute Picture Frame (?2.99), Valentine’s Muffin Moulds (?3.99) and heart-shaped Tea Lights (?1.99).

Not forgetting the men in your lives, they’ve got that taken care of too.

“Cologne is the ideal gift for just about every man; pick up a bottle of G. Bellini X-Bolt for only €3.99. With citrus, woody notes giving it a fresh, yet masculine edge, this fragrance is sure not to disappoint. A bottle of the award-winning Dundalgan Irish Whiskey (?18.49) will also go down a treat, and at a cost of under than €20 you really can’t go wrong.”

Valentine’s Day at Lidl; bargain.

Also, this seasonal prank on the streets of Dublin is pretty hilarious.
