Blue skies had begun to feel like a rarity, but now that they’re back we’ve got a spring in our step. The team share their new season purchases, spring essentials and wishlist items.

A copy of our new IMAGE Spring magazine is always in my bag! I have fallen in love with this hair perfume from Gisou and have been slicking my mane back with this amazing cream from The Smooth Company. These Biodance face masks have been my go-to for my winter-to-spring transition to get my nice hydrated skin back. I adore these bonnets from Marmala, everything she creates is simply divine!

I have my eye on this talented designer who creates these deadly tights by T-Lainey with an Irish touch, these are so fun to match or elevate your outfits and she creates and prints them all herself! I have been really enjoying @rachael.grif‘s content for the best ways to search on Vinted for pieces and be de-influenced from current fashion trends and fast fashion cycles, and adore the way she styles her clothes! I would love to purchase this bag that specialises in making stylish hand bags for camera equipment. Adore everything from this brand. This would be a game changer for any upcoming events and fashion weeks!

While browsing in a funky little book shop in LA—so funky that it had its own section dedicated entirely to A24—I came across these little film and television-themed crossword books, and I’ve been both literally and sometimes figuratively kicking myself for not buying them since. So they’ve taken a place on my wishlist, because I am quite passionate about a good crossword.

I’ve also become a Rhode fanatic of late, having picked up the warm berry brown peptide lip tint, the pocket blush in the shade freckle, and both the glazing milk and barrier butter. The best way I can describe my skin since using these is bouncy, it’s visibly and deeply moisturised. Dare I say plump and juicy and gorgeous.

For spring, what I really need is a new work bag. I’d love to look you in the eye and say I’ll be getting the JW Anderson denim loafer bag, what I really need is something practical that I haven’t been able to find just yet. It needs to fit my laptop and ideally be cross-body, so that I can avoid limping along under the weight of my shoulder bag, yet still aesthetically pleasing enough that I’m not plunged back into schoolbag territory. Answers on a postcard?

Spring is the ultimate time for a reset, and this year I am so ready to take this to a new level. Everything from fashion to makeup and all the gorgeous goodies in between are on my list this season, and I can’t wait to both dust off old staples and invest in new bits to liven up my life.

Starting off strong with fashion, I am in desperate need of a pair of white/cream jeans. I just think these are a Spring essential which you can dress up to go into the office or work for a lovely chill city day out outfit. I have had my eye on the Abercrombie Curve Love High Rise 90s Relaxed Jean for a while so I think it’s finally time to invest. Layering is a must in Spring, and a gorgeous pink cardigan like this one from Cos would make any outfit. Flats are really having a moment this season, and for good reason. These stunning ballet flats from River Island caught my eye immediately and would elevate any fit flawlessly. Finally, a pair of sunglasses can finish off any outfit, and the new Maie Atelier collection would really make a statement.

For skincare, we are going all in on our moisturising and SPF protection as the days warm up. I live and breath the Sculpted by Aimee Cloud Cream and use it religiously as my morning and night moisturizer. I also love the hyaluronic acid serum from The Ordinary paired with the Anua Heartleaf toner for a real moisture boost. Finally, you cannot leave the house without putting on your SPF, and I swear by the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50+. It’s a lightweight sunscreen that leaves no white cast and works perfectly under makeup.

I also love a clean girl makeup look, and I have just finished my Sculpted by Aimee Cream Cushion which has become a fast essential in my makeup bag and one I will be repurchasing for sure. This paired with a dewy, cream blush is the dream combo, and I’m dying to get my hands on the Rhode Pocket Blush in Toasted Teddy which just looks like the most gorgeous ‘I’m just in from a day in the sun’ shade.

I’m loving baby blue at the moment so this Rains jacket is perfect for the unpredictable weather of late. It’ll also pair perfectly with these cute New Balance shoes I was gifted, they’re the comfiest pair I own! Pennys has launched their lovely spring homeware collection and I’m obsessed with this vase and cup set, it makes me feel like I’m on my holidays! Finally, H&M have this gorgeous crochet skirt that I have a feeling will become my go-to piece in the warmer months, it’s so chic and easy to pair with any outfit

As my collection of houseplants seems to be ever-growing, I’m sure I’d find a spot for this gorgeous Nicholas Mosse plant pot – I love the floral design. Speaking of houseplants, there’s nothing like the first few sunny days of spring for me to remember I’ve been slightly neglecting them, so I’m heading to The Garden to pick up this House Plant Elixir, which should hopefully help to make up for it. While I’m there, this watering can might just fall into my arms – I can already hear myself justifying the purchase because it’s pretty enough to double as a vase. For myself, given that I go on about the JW Anderson x Uniqlo straight jeans to anyone who will listen, I couldn’t help but order myself another pair in a different shade.

For me, my New Year doesn’t start until the clocks go back at the end of March, the daffodils come out and colour starts returning to the skies of Ireland. The same can be said for my wardrobe choices, time to bring in lots of colour. I’m patiently waiting for these blue gingham Mary Janes from Charles & Keith to come back in stock. With the ribbon laces, they are the perfect spring shoe! I have two items that if I miraculously win the lottery in the next month will be going straight into my spring shopping basket: this Simone Rocha Sheer Flounce skirt, I cannot tell you how much this skirt speaks to me. A good wardrobe staple with a twist is this beautiful Acne Studios midi skirt with the most delicate lace hemline embroidered with Acne Studios.

If you are new to adding colour to your wardrobe or fear it, my best advice is to start small and add pops of colour through accessorising! Love Beth is a firm favourite of mine, these earrings or any of her unique bracelets are the perfect pop of colour and the perfect outfit staple!

Hannah Stapleton, Freelance Junior Marketing Executive

I can’t live without my Love Beth bracelet, so it seems only fitting to pick up a new one ahead of the spring. This one is the perfect pop of colour for my spring wardrobe. Much like these Birkenstock Bostons, they are at the top of my wishlist at the moment. The only reason I hadn’t bit the bullet yet, was the amount of rain we’ve had in the last few months. I also adore this cross-body bag from Cos.

I’ll admit that my usage of SPF is not as often as it should be. My spring resolution is to use SPF daily – I love this one from Neutrogena. I have very sensitive skin, so finding the perfect products for me takes a lot of trial and error. This one is light, perfect under makeup, and makes my skin feel amazing!
