The must-see pieces from the Stella McCartney H&M Collection
We are just one week out from the Stella McCartney H&M Collection launching on May 7. Here are the pieces you need to see.
Thursday, May 7, will see the launch of the Stella McCartney H&M collection, twenty years after H&M’s first partnership with the designer. The first Stella McCartney H&M partnership – H&M’s second ever design collaboration – launched in November 2005 and sold out on the first day.

“I see this collection as a journey through my fashion history,” says Stella McCartney. “ It is a true mix of current classics and some of my old favourites that showcase my first forays into fashion and the development of my signatures. It’s playful, strong, sparkling, joyful, refined.”

The second Stella McCartney H&M collection features much of the house’s 25-year history and beloved current signatures (Falabella chain dresses and vests and bags and jewellery!) with playful hits from McCartney’s early archive, like bejewelled tops and a white studded white mini tee reading ‘Rock Royalty’.
There’s archival cherry print and many bags – six styles in total, from a roomy Falabella chain detail embellished tote to small branded shoulder bags. The eveningwear is beautiful, from chain neck vests and sparkling partywear to a long white gown with a cape-like sleeve that loops into the hem – as is the outerwear; there are trenches, tailored coats and sharp blazers.

Prioritising recycled content, organic cottons, wool certified to the RWS Standard and innovative usage of feedstock for coated materials, such as industrial corn and recycled vegetable oil, the collection stays true to the sustainable ethos of Stella McCartney.
