Holly Willoughby just wore the perfect spring dress from one of our favourite brands

Holly Willoughby has worn the perfect dress on This Morning from one of our favourite occasionwear brands

There is a phenomenon called the ‘Holly Willoughby effect’.

This sensation dictates that anything Holly wears on This Morning will sell out almost immediately. A stellar concoction of designer brands and standout high street pieces has been central to the success of the effect and we think her most recent dress will follow in the footsteps of those before it.

On yesterday’s show, the presenter wore a wrap mini dress with a difference from Ghost. The difference? An on-trend statement collar with crotchet trim that settled itself over the red floral print. With a tie waist and v-neck, this dress will flatter all body shapes by skimming and hugging curves.

The dress was paired with bare legs and black pointed court heels, but the beauty of the piece is its versatility. Wear now with black tights and chunky boots, but when spring arrives step out sans tights and pair with a variety of footwear. Summer will soon follow and this dress is ideal for those balmy nights with a pair of strappy sandals.

The dress is very nearly sold out but with its popularity, a restock is a surety.

Ghost

Ghost is an iconic British brand which was launched over three decades ago. It became quite an established fashion house and always lurked in the background of shoppers’ minds. However, in the last two years, it has seen a resurgence thanks to the Instagram generation who flock to their tea dresses like moths to a flame.

Beautifully designed dresses are offset with vibrant prints, while shapes are universally flattering. From midi dresses to minis to separates, Ghost is a quintessential occasionwear brand. This writer can also attest that the dresses are utterly comfortable and once put on can make you think that you are, in actuality, a French actress.

If you are on the search for a wedding outfit or maybe just a beautiful dress to brighten up your days, make sure you type Ghost into the search bar.
