Chic Palazzo Pants & Miami Vibes: Lidl Launch SS16 Collection

Lidl. No longer the store you only frequent in order to stock up on their prosecco and hummus (both are insanely good?btw), but now a formidable force in the fashion circuit too. Just last night, they hosted a reception to celebrate their SS16 collection, featuring Miami-inspired swimwear, chic palazzo pants and a new accessories range. If you had any doubts about the supermarket giant’s sartorial offering, just remember that their debut collection, released back in 2015, was a sell-out success.

Inspired by the Tropical Deco architecture of Miami and the contrasting bohemian blue hues of the Mediterranean, shoppers can expect an eclectic selection of key season staples and stunning swimwear, the majority of which will be available for a very purse-friendly €9.99 or under.

The first wave of products from the collection will go on sale on March 10th, with the additional pieces scheduled to land in stores nationwide between April and July.

With a focus on trends that are both wearable and affordable, customers can expect to see boho denim harem pants, €8.99, chic cotton shirt dresses, €9.99, and ultra-chic palazzo pants, €9.99, in colours like dusty pink and dove grey.

Also sure to impress is the ?See You in Miami? collection of beachwear and athleisure, which will arrive in stores in June. Inspired by the vibrant city of Miami, the focus of the range is on bold colours, lush prints and geometric silhouettes. Stand-out pieces include a luxe sports swimsuit, 8.99, a triangle bikini, just €8.98 and palm print capri pants, €6.99, and sports bra, €5.99.

The Esmara spring/summer collection will be available from March 10th – July from Lidl’s 145 stores nationwide.
