Your Capsule Coat Collection: Part One

These coat styles are hot right now, but they’re never out in the cold as far as the fashion elite is concerned. Invest in any, or all if you can.

CAMEL

Whether it’s a classic trench or an Arthur Daley-style single-breasted coat, camel is a classic colour for outerwear. We love how some street stars have chosen pieces with a pop of vibrant red. Camel is a surprisingly versatile shade, working just as well with pastels as it does with richer, autumnal hues.

CAPES

Every woman should own a cape. From a very practical point of view, they’re perfect for layering over delicate items like ruffled blouses that are likely to get crushed beneath another style. Beyond that, they’re elegant, and with just enough theatre to create an impression without making a shouty statement.
