Brooklyn Beckham may only be 16, but he’s slowly starting to carve a name for himself, and it seems he has found his niche in the fashion industry. It’s a natural step; he was never just going to “do something,” not when his’mother Victoria is one of the most respected’designers working at the moment, and his?father David fronts numerous H&M campaigns following a?celebrated sporting career.?Plus, there is the matter of his brother Romeo featuring in those delightful Burberry campaigns. It seems shunning the limelight is not an option.
Yes, he did work part-time in a coffee shop for a while, but from the beginning it was likely he would follow in the footsteps of his parents.
Asides from his regular front-row fashion week appearances, Brooklyn has featured in a series of notable campaigns: he covered?Man About Town magazine a while back, and then landed his first modelling gig, starring in Polish brand Reserved’s?Spring 2015 campaign.
His next?project is distinctly more high-profile, as?the eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham is making his professional debut as the photographer for the latest Burberry Brit fragrance campaign. He debuted a number of the black and white shots on his Instagram profile this weekend. This is his first time getting behind the lens,?and he was tasked with capturing?a stylish cast of up-and-coming models for the iconic British label. The shoot was also broadcast?live from London to Burberry’s social media accounts.
It seems the label spotted something in the teen (his Instagram already serves as a millennial equivalent to a portfolio), and they were keen to allow him to stretch his creative wings.”Brooklyn has a really great eye for image and Instagram works brilliantly for him as a platform to showcase his work,” said Burberry CEO and creative director Christopher Bailey. “His style and attitude were exactly what we wanted to capture in the spirit of this new Brit fragrance campaign.”
And we have to admit, the photographs are fairly snazzy. He may well be onto something:

Though Burberry’s decision to hire the relatively inexperienced youngster (it works well for both sides as Beckham will be associated with a major brand and Burberry in turn, will benefit from his millions of followers), has angered some professionals in the industry, we would argue that everyone has to start somewhere, even those with famous parents.
