Here are 28 of the best finds from Zara’s summer sale

Going to shop the Zara summer sale? From dresses to shoes, here are 28 of our top finds from one of the best sales of the year

It’s here.

The Zara sale is here.

Official countdowns flooded my Instagram stories, as the savviest shoppers waited to be one of the first on-site to bag the best deals. I, on the other hand, was quite lax about the spectacle.

In recent years, I have become wary of sales and the temptation they put on a plate. How many of the pieces that made the customer journey from basket to house have I actually worn?

Let me tell you, it wasn’t many.

Sales are notoriously difficult to navigate. Cheap prices trick us into believeing we need an item. Most of the time we don’t and a lack of thought is behind the money transfer.

However, sales are not all bad. Hidden gems can always be discovered – you just have to keep those shopping wits about you.

When purchasing, think hard about how the item will fit into your existing wardrobe. How many pieces will it complement? Will you wear it more than once? We have a useful list of questions here to ask yourself before your next spree.

Never stop thinking about fit and design. If the piece is too trend-led and outside your usual style spectrum, don’t buy it. Stick to primary colours, classic shapes, and what we call solid staples. Sales are not the time to buy gowns for balls you will never attend.

If you wish to experiement, play with tops and accessories. For jeans, coats, dresses and skirts, it’s best to dance to the sartorial song you know.

Thankfully, Zara has always brilliantly executed trends and timeless fashion.

Here we have chosen 28 pieces from the sale which fit the bill and hopefully won’t leave you with the bitter taste of regret.
