We tried and tested all the hair products to land on the beauty desk in February

The best new haircare launches, tried and tested.

Davines Oi Shampoo, €22

The Davines Oi Shampoo, €22 and Oi Conditioner, €23.50, leave the hair soft and shiny and protected from heat damage, thanks to active ingredient roucou oil that works to neutralise free radicals and protects against cellular damage caused by UV exposure. Both products are paraben and sulphate free and come with the added bonus of speeding up the drying process.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food Coconut Oil 3-in-1 Frizzy Hair Mask Treatment, €4.49

Garnier has upped it’s focus on natural ingredients and is focusing on “free-from” as a strategy, anticipating that we want to know every single ingredient inside our products. These just-launched masks are 98% natural, vegan and free from silicones, parabens and artificial colourants. You can use it as a mask, leave-in or a mega hydrating conditioner, for easy detangling, smooth and soft hair.

Kerastase Absolu Blond Shampoo, €27.20

Some purple shampoos leave the hair feeling chalky and dry. This is not one of those. Kerastase have created one of the good ones. The Blond Absolu range, available now has everything a blonde needs – nourishment, strength, anti-brassiness, heat-protection and the elusive shine so difficult to find in blonde hair. With two shampoos (one for illuminating, one for pigment neutralising perfection), one conditioner with the power of a mask, one heat-protecting hero and one nourishing mask, all blondes need this range to hand in their bathroom.

Kevin Murphy Heated Defense, €24

Get heat protection up to 232 degrees with this invisible leave-in foam that creates a barrier over the hair and helps to limit damage while also strengthening. You can use it on damp or dry hair and it leaves no residue.

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Rapid Reviver Dry Hair Power Conditioner, €6

With no leave-in time necessary, the new L’Oreal Paris Elvive Rapid Revivers are conditioners with a power of a mask that instantly offer intense nourishment and conditioning without weighing the hair down, leaving it velvety soft.

Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner, €28.85 each

If you’re addicted to your Olaplex No.3 mask, Olaplex have added more products to their at-home range, specifically a No.4 and No.5 shampoo and conditioner to strengthen your hair with every wash and give a hit of hydration to dry, damaged hair types.
