Boots opens new Dublin city centre store with emphasis on sustainability

Boots has opened a major new store in Dublin’s Dawson Street, just in time to nab all of your party season prep!

Boots Ireland opened its doors on Dawson Street in Dublin’s city centre on Wednesday.

The new store will stock Boots’ new premium brands, such as The Inkey List, Revolution and BH cosmetics.

As well as all the cult products you’ve come to love at Boots, the store will also offer a full pharmacy service across its 221m² feet, and has taken steps to be more sustainable.

The store will only stock brown paper bags, which include a high recycled content and require less processing than white paper bags. There will also be a Rehydration Station for refilling water bottles for customers on the go.

In total, 10 new jobs have been created in the store, which is managed by Lauren Gorman, who is overseeing 18 staff.

In the pharmacy, services available in the new Dawson Street set-up include winter flu and pneumococcal vaccinations, travel vaccinations, emergency contraception, compression hosiery, shingles vaccinations and Stop for Good – a 12-week, three-step programme to help people to quit smoking, which includes private and confidential support and advice, and rewards customers who meet their goals along the way.

Health promotion initiatives offered in the Pharmacy at Boots Dawson Street also include: Alcohol Awareness, Asthma Let’s Breathe Easy, Blood Pressure Measurement, Diabetes Risk Assessment and Healthy Heart Support. A private consultation room will also allow for one to one support and advice as required.
