What to make this weekend: An indulgent chocolate egg milkshake

This decadent recipe combines chocolate, ice cream and Baileys in a symphony of scrumptious indulgence; the Easter cocktail to end all other Easter cocktails.

For a more grown-up way to eat your chocolate Easter eggs, this Bailey’s recipe is sure to go down a treat.

Bailey’s Spring Shakedown Easter milkshake

Ingredients

  • 100ml Baileys Original Irish Cream
  • 2 hollow Easter eggs (around 100g each)
  • 6 scoops vanilla ice cream (360ml)
  • 100ml double cream (whipped)
  • 20ml chocolate sauce
  • Toasted chopped hazelnuts and chocolate flakes to garnish
  • Extra toppings – mini eggs, mint leaves, raspberries or a macaroon

 

Method 

  1. Carefully crack off the tips of the Easter eggs. 
  2. Blend the Baileys with the ice cream. Then pour it into the chocolate eggs.
  3. Top with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, chopped nuts, mini eggs and chocolate sprinkles.
