6 of the very best hard seltzers to mix it up with this weekend

Summer is the season of the hard seltzer. With that in mind, we’re running through the top options on the market that deserve a place in your bag of cans this weekend.

There’s nothing quite like the refreshing kick of a pre-mixed drink on the beach or by the barbecue, and right now, the options are endless.

A market that’s becoming increasingly saturated with different varieties of ready-to-drink boozy cans, it can be quite the task to pick a brand, let alone a flavour.

So, to make it that bit easier for you next time you’re in your local off licence, we’ve ranked our favourite hard seltzer options. Let’s get into it…

Kopparberg

Starting out specialising in their signature sweet, fruity cider, the Kopparberg brand has expanded to encompass quite the vast variety of pre-mixed boozy beverages. From gin and vodka infusions, to cocktails in a can, it’s the strawberry hard seltzer that we’re obsessed with. Naturally gluten free and vegan friendly, the alcohol content is 5%, there’s zero sugar, and just 93 calories.

Topo Chico

Making good use of natural flavours, Topo Chico hard seltzers come in three flavours, but it’s hard to beat a true classic: tangy lemon lime. Made with a dash of sugar, flavour enhancers, and sparkling water, these little cans are 4.7%, and 96 calories.

West Coast Cooler

A new addition to the seltzer scene, West Coast Cooler have just released a cooler can made with white wine, sparkling water, pineapple, grapefruit and passion fruit flavours. Each 250ml can is 4%, and contains 93 calories.

White Claw

Come on, there’s nothing like a true classic, right? Many of our first introductions to the hard seltzer world, White Claw have just brought their beloved natural watermelon flavour to Irish shores for the first time this summer, and we’ve been loving it. The alcohol content is 4.5%, and it, each can is gluten free, and just 95 calories.

Rockshore

Inspired by the bracing Irish Atlantic Coast, Rockshore’s hard seltzers are made up of sparkling water with alcohol and natural fruit flavours, and the raspberry variety is top of our list. With a 4.5% ABV and 83 calories, a four pack of these bad boys goes a long way.

Smirnoff

While they’ve got a number of hard seltzer flavours available, the orange and grapefruit has become our go-to. Bursting with natural flavours, the acidity and the sweetness are perfectly balanced, and at just 72 calories and 4.7%, this mixed drink ticks all our boxes.
