See inside the incredible Dublin home on the cover of Image Interiors & Living

There is so much loveliness in the latest issue of Image Interiors & Living, from festive tables, divine Irish homes and creative conversations.

How soon is too soon to start talking about Christmas? Because we’ve been pulling out ornaments, adorning festive tables and testing seasonal tipples since August for the November/December issue, so as far as we’re concerned, December 25 is practically here.

As well as Christmas creations, we also caught up with our Design Award winners, photographed three incredible homes, met with a Belfast-based wallpaper maker and checking out a luxury guesthouse in the Scottish Highlands.

Here’s a quick peek of what to expect for the new issue, on shelves from this weekend.

On the cover…

The soaring ceilings of this incredible library in a Georgian home in Dublin meant it was the only choice for a cosy winter cover. Designed by Suzie Mc Adam and photographed by Ruth Maria Murphy, the house has been transformed from a commercial headquarters into a modern family home that celebrates its incredible historical architecture.

Three other homes can be found within the pages, including this 1930s semi-d. Owned by a cinematographer who retained as much of the building’s original material as he could, including wallpaper, curtains and tiling.

Meet the Makers…

Photographer Doreen Kilfeather traversed the country to capture our Image Interiors & Living Design Awards winners in their natural habitats – their studios, workshops and factories. Staff writer Megan Burns finds out what’s on the cards for them in 2020.

Take a Seat…

Photographer and chef Cliodhna Prendergast of Lens & Larder created a Christmas table to remember. Groaning under the weight of some many Irish artisan foods and suppliers, her delicious spread really shows the breadth of Irish food right now.

Editor Amanda Kavanagh took a long weekend in Scotland to experience a guesthouse with a difference. Designed to combine the best of Scottish food and craft with a simple Scandinavian aesthetic, Lundies House made for a blissfully calm break.
