The J.W. Anderson For Uniqlo Collaboration Drops Tomorrow At 10AM

The J.W. Anderson For Uniqlo Collaboration Drops Tomorrow At 10AM

Irish designer J.W. Anderson has collaborated with Japanese retailer Uniqlo on a collection that goes on sale tomorrow at 10am. The 34-piece collection includes?Fair Isle knits, duffel coats, striped shirts and A-line skirts.

Anderson has described this collection as being about the?”small gesture”, and certainly there’s a restraint to his designs that would never work for one of his catwalk shows, but which benefits this range by making it so wearable and appropriate for everyday use. There’s a strong utilitarian vibe – trench?coats,?puffa jackets, backpacks – and an earthy palette that will make you want to swaddle yourself in one of the oversized cardigans or quilted skirts.?An occasional rainbow stripe, on a sweater and a scarf, adds a nice punctuation to the colour palette.

The collection offers a uniform for women (and men) who like?quality, comfort, and clean design. My list is lengthening each time I return to the Uniqlo website?and look at the full range. So far, I want the navy ultralight down jacket, the navy Fair Isle crew-neck long-sleeve cardigan, the grey lambswool graphic crew-neck long sleeve sweater and the khaki quilted skirt. The tartan padded tote bag also keeps catching my eye.

Ultra light down jacket, €99 at uniqlo.com

Lambswool graphic crew-neck sweater, €39.90 at uniqlo.com

Padded tote, €29.90 at uniqlo.com

So set your alarm for September 21 at 9pm because this collection won’t hang around. And who wouldn’t want a piece by?J.W. Anderson in their AW wardrobe?
