A Month In The Country

By IMAGE
15th May 2014

For the first in our Throwback Thursday series we take a look at some of our favourite IMAGE fashion shoots throughout the years. November 1987 marked ?A Month In The Country? where we explored ?A traditional knit with a twist, open as the landscape, a genuine fishing coat to neutralize the sharpening wind, an immaculate hunting jacket for long soir?es in grand old houses. Ravishing rural beauty. A perfect Irish November.?

While November is a long way off calendar wise, there is plenty of style inspiration to be taken from this photo series. Jodhpurs and cord trousers prove the perfect partners for chunky knits and the masculine tailoring echoes the menswear trend we’ve been observing these past few months. There is an Anglo-Irish enchantment to some of the shots which showcase County Kildara at its finest. Designers such as John Rocha, Christian Dior, Pat Crowley and Ralph Lauren join outdoor wear stalwarts Callaghans and vintage favourites Jenny Vander and A Store Is Born. Mike Bunn was responsible for the photography while Elizabeth Arden’s Autumn Fires collection is responsible for the nude beauty looks. Also, take a look at that golden retriever puppy?
