See who attended the launch of the Spa at Kilkea Castle, Co Kildare

This week saw Irish stars travel to Co Kildare for the launch of the Spa at Kilkea Castle. It comes after the 12th Century castle underwent an extensive €2 million investment.

Owners Jay and Christy Cashman from Boston joined General Manager Aidan O’Sullivan in welcoming guests to the spa, which offers both day and overnight packages with a range of treatments on offer.

Located just an hour’s drive from Dublin, the spa at Kilkea Castle uses luxurious Elemis products and boasts a serene, tranquil environment.

Guests (including Kathryn Thomas, Lorraine Keane and Nuala Carey, to name but a few) sipped Taittinger Champagne and indulged in a delicious afternoon tea experience by Executive Chef David McKane.

Culinary delights included sandwiches of Duncannon House Smoked Salmon with Keta Caviar; Honey Roast Ham and Wholegrain Mustard Mayonnaise, and Dressed Crab with Lemon Dressing on Brioche.

Not only that, but a tempting selection of sweet bites was also served including Créme Brulee; White Chocolate Tart; Chocolate Macarons and Raspberry Bakewell.
