This is the dream mother-daughter date to kick off your Christmas season in style… A longtime favourite Christmas tale, The Nutcracker has been given the Disney live-action treatment we’ve been waiting for.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures’ The Nutcracker and the Four Realms takes ETA Hoffmann’s classic tale, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, and mixes it with a little Pixie Dust to present a star-studded film that will add some magic to your November.

Keira Knightley, Richard E Grant, Miranda Hart, Misty Copeland, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman are just some of the A-listers who’ve lent their talents to this film, with Mackenzie Foy playing the lead role of Clara, who finds herself in a strange and mysterious parallel world that’s home to the Land of the Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets, with Mother Ginger its ruling tyrant. It’s beautiful, magical, and will have young audiences queuing up on opening weekend.

Kudos to Disney for taking No Doubt’s “Just a Girl” and turning it into an eerie mystical treat for this trailer.

If this all sounds like a treat in itself, we have more news for you. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has partnered with IMAGE to offer a fabulous prize to one lucky reader: Tickets for two to the Irish premiere at [email protected] on Thursday, November 1 with an overnight stay at the stunning five-star Conrad Hotel, on the corner of Dublin’s Stephen’s Green, including breakfast the following morning in the Coburg brasserie. (Keep a lookout for the special Nutcracker-inspired décor in the hotel!) Not only that, but you will also receive €200 spending money so you can make the most of this very special night.
