A strong start to the day sets the tone for everything that follows. From mindful moments to morning rituals, Team IMAGE share the daily habits they rely on to feel focused, energised, and ready for whatever comes next.

Emily O’Neill, Branded Content Account Manager

Over the years, I haven’t had the best gut health routine and nearly always skipped breakfast, but as I have gotten older, I’ve realised how important they both are. In the last couple of years, I have really prioritised my gut health, and as part of that, I ensure I eat a good, balanced gut-friendly breakfast each morning. At the moment, I am loving yoghurt and granola bowls. They are so easy to pull together in a time pinch, and they taste amazing! My yoghurt of choice is the Activia Fibre Yoghurt range mixed with a little bit of granola, berries and a drop of honey.

Hannah Stapleton, Freelance Junior Marketing Account Executive

The Activia Fibre Yoghurts are a staple in my house. They’re an ideal addition to breakfast, and equally great on the go. I love to take one with me when I am heading into the office – a great snack that I will enjoy, and they are a source of fibre too. My mam and dad love them with fruit, or included in baked oats!

I admittedly have never been a morning person, but I have made a conscious effort to have a more structured routine in the past few months. One non-negotiable thing that has made its way into my routine is my morning walk. Whether this is a five-minute brisk walk around the estate or a 30-minute stroll with a cup of tea in hand, this has transformed my motivation and energy for the day ahead. Another thing that I cannot go without is a good breakfast. Recently, I’ve been on a porridge buzz, with sliced banana and honey. However, heading into the office, I am a sucker for blackberry and apple overnight oats with maple syrup, which genuinely feels like I’m having cake for breakfast. I am also a massive fan of yoghurt bowls with peanut butter and honey, delicious!

Susan Vickers, Account Manager

My morning routine changes with the seasons, and right now I’m loving the brighter mornings for getting up and out. I love my morning walks along the canal, it’s my go-to way to start the day! From there, it’s home, shower and a bit of self-care. I’ve recently started journaling again, and as Denise from The Head Plan always says, “Write it down,” so while I make my morning coffee, I’ll plan my day too. While I’m not much of a breakfast person, I am very conscious about supporting my gut health, so I might make a mid-morning smoothie or yoghurt bowl. Lately, I’ve been reaching for Danone Activia yoghurts, which are not only delicious but good for gut health,

Shayna Healy, Branded Content & Wedding Editor

I’ll start off by saying I am not a morning person in the slightest. I envy those who get up at 5am and do a full workout before their day even starts, but alas, I’ve accepted who I am and have embraced my lazy rise routine. On most mornings, depending on the weather, I’ll start the day with a short walk with the dog or a relaxing read on the sofa. Both of these really boost my mood as I feel like I’m minding myself before the stress of a busy day kicks in. Then, I’ll sit down at the kitchen table to have a healthy breakfast and a glass of water – having both of these before coffee makes all the difference. I used to get anxiety in the mornings, but this small change has made the biggest difference. My go-to breakfasts are overnight oats (I’ve prepped the night before) or, when I have more time, a yoghurt bowl with fresh fruits, peanut butter, granola and honey.

Dearbhla Lovett, Activations Executive

I was really struggling with my morning routine in the depths of January and February, so I put a lot of work in getting it right. First up is the best Christmas present I received this year, my Lumie alarm clock. Mimicking the sunlight, I found myself waking naturally before my alarm, which has left me feeling less stressed. I then try to get outside as soon as I can and walk to get a coffee. I need a reward for getting up and out straight away! I then come home and relax before having my breakfast, which typically consists of a yoghurt bowl with nut butter, chia seeds and wholegrain cereal mixed in.
