Chanel Chance/Chance Eau Fraiche/Chance Eau Tendre, €58 for 35ml

Whether you favour the warm floral original, sparkling citrus Eau Fraiche or romantic fruity-floral, Eau Tendre, these new travel-friendly sized bottles from Chanel have spring scent sorted. ?Delicate and sparkling, we'll take our chances with any or all!

Jo Malone Geranium & Verbena, €52 for 30ml

Part of the March-launching Rock The Ages collection, this unisex scent was inspired, apparently, by the aristocracy of the UK's Edwardian period. With notes of bergamot, basil and verbena combined with geranium and neroli, this is a lovely, balanced blend that smells clean, fresh and utterly seasonally appropriate.

Katy Perry Killer Queen Spring Reign, €25.95 for 30ml

Nope, just because it's a celebrity scent does not automatically mean that it sucks; check out some other 'sleb scents we heart here.?Ali?nor Massenet (who has also created fragrances for niche French/Irish brand Memo) developed this soft, floral and romantic, version of Katy's previous scent.

Hugo Woman, €45 for 30ml

This one is interesting because it mixes masculine and feminine notes for an interesting take on a fruity floral scent. It starts off soft and light with mandarin and jasmine but, as it warms on the skin, smokier notes of Indian black tea and amber come through.

Clinique Aromatics in White, €70 for 50 ml

Clinique are masters of beautiful, complex fragrances - Calyx is one case in point, and this successor to the 1971 classic, Aromatics Elixir, is another. ?A sophisticated and modern reworking, this soft oriental combines floral notes (rose, orange blossom) with leather, musk and amber; the simple white bottle is a masterclass in understated elegance.
