Join IMAGE and La Roche-Posay for an exclusive evening discussing all things Expert Ageing

As we grow older, skin care becomes more of a priority. Early mornings, late nights, harsh weather (both hot and cold here in Ireland!) and lots of other factors can begin to take their toll on our skin, and we may start to notice the first signs of ageing. If you are someone with sensitive skin, finding the right products to combat signs of ageing, while still being gentle and non-irritating, can be difficult.

La Roche-Posay prides itself on bringing the most effective, while still very gentle, products to those with sensitive skin. Having partnered with dermatologists for over 30 years, La Roche-Posay’s ranges are formulated with the best and most cutting-edge ingredients, modified to whatever your skin concern might be. And to celebrate the launch of their new product, the Pure Vitamin C10 serum, which is a skincare step changer for ageing sensitive skin, they want to invite you to find out more about it.

IMAGE have teamed up with La Roche-Posay to host an exclusive ultimate Expert Ageing event to celebrate the launch of their Pure Vitamin C10 serum. Join us at House, Leeson Street on Tuesday, April 16 at 6:30 pm to enjoy a deep dive into Expert Ageing with Janette Ryan, Skin Expert and Head of Education for La Roche-Posay, and Dr Nicola Ralph, consultant dermatologist in Blackrock Clinic.

You will also recieve an exclusive goody bag at the event worth €60, including two of your vital steps for an expert ageing routine. The goody bag will include your own bottle of the Pure Vitamin C10 Serum, which fights free radical damage and brightens your complexion, and an Anthelios SPF50+ Ultra Light Shaka Fluid, which is your daily protection against UVA/UVB  and infrared rays.

Vitamin C in your skincare routine

With La Roche-Posay’s new Pure Vitamin C10 serum, it will be even easier to incorporate vitamin C into your skincare routine. But why should you include it, and what are the benefits of using vitamin C?

Using the multi-purpose vitamin has a tonne of benefits. Using a vitamin C serum regularly can boost your skin’s glow, and fade hyperpigmentation and the appearance of photo-damage, which is a common problem for ageing skin. Vitamin C is also an antioxidant, and stimulates collagen production, plumping the skin and encouraging wound healing and a more even complexion.

The discussion

You will arrive to welcome drinks and canapés at 6:30 pm before settling in to listen to our panel of experts explaining Expert Ageing. While 30% of the skin’s ageing process is due to genetics, 70% is down to external factors, such as exposure to UV rays, pollution, infrared and smoking. The discussion will cover the main factors that contribute to skin’s ageing, and what we can do to protect against harmful influences on our sensitive skin.

Our panellists will go through the Expert Ageing routine recommended by dermatologists, and how and why this routine works to prevent early signs of ageing.

Our panellists

Janette Ryan is Head of Education for La Roche-Posay, and has over 18 years’ experience working in skincare. Her job involves educating Skin Care Advisors and Pharmacists throughout Ireland and the UK. Janette has been at the core of leading skin care education for La Roche Posay for the past 18 years.

Dr Nicola Ralph

Dr Ralph is a consultant dermatologist in BlackRock Clinic, with a specialist interest in inflammatory dermatology. This includes conditions such as acne, psoriasis and eczema and also has extensive experience in the aesthetic field. Dr Ralph is also member of the Irish, British, European and American Associations of Dermatologists.
