Business of Beauty Awards 2020: The dos and don’ts of voting

After what feels like forever, the IMAGE Business of Beauty Awards 2020 is finally here.

The shortlist has been announced, the excitement is building and anticipation is in the air for the big night on March 10. And now there are only two days left to vote for your favourite, with voting officially ending on Wednesday night.

This means you still have time to have your say and vote for your favourite beauty business or expert.

We’ve laid the groundwork and now it’s up to you, our trusted IMAGE readers. But, how do you do it?

To make the voting process a little easier, we have revived our extremely handy FAQ Business of Beauty voting guide; meaning you won’t hit any hiccups while you play your part in preparation for the biggest night on the beauty calendar.

Q1: How many times can I cast my vote?

To preserve the integrity of the vote and to avoid spam, the voting process is now as follows: users are allocated one vote per email address, per device, per day.

Q2: My email address won’t work and now I can’t cast my vote, what will I do?

If you are at the receiving end of a ‘sorry that email doesn’t appear to be valid’ type message, there are a number of steps you can take to help solve the problem.

  • Make sure that you have entered your email address correctly.
  • If this doesn’t work, the next step is to switch browser (for example, from Safari to Chrome, as Chrome is the preferred web browser).
  • When you are in Chrome, manually type your password into the email box. The Safari browser used by Apple products has an ‘auto-function’ for entering email addresses, which won’t allow your vote to come through our system.
  • If you’re trying to vote with an email address that hasn’t been used for voting in the last 24 hours and the site is not letting you vote, check if the device you’re using has been used to vote in the last 24 hours.

Q3: Can we do competitions/giveaways to encourage voting?

Yes, you can carry out competitions and giveaways to encourage voting. Each business and individual on the shortlist has been sent special assets which they can use on their social media channels to help promote voting in their specific category. All is fair in love and the Beauty of Business Awards!

Now all you have to do it get voting!
