Social Pictures: The Irish ‘Barbie’ premiere

Irish stars stepped out for the long-awaited premiere of what’s poised to be the film of the summer, if not the year, Barbie.

On Wednesday, 19 July, film fans gathered at the Stella Cinema in Rathmines for the Irish premiere of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

Given the earth shatteringly stylish nature of the press tour thus far — with Miss Robbie playing dress up as a myriad of her favourite iterations of the iconic Mattel doll — it was only right that all attendees pulled out all the stops with their style choices on the night.

The Stella Cinema was saturated with hot pink as members of the Irish media, influencers, entrepreneurs, and socialites made their appearance for this advanced screening of the film. Among those in attendance were MUA and KASH Beauty founder Keilidh Cashell, James Kavanagh, Roz Purcell, and Terrie McEvoy.

Hosts on the night were comedian Emma Doran and radio presenter Thomas Crosse, and there was a special round of applause for Adam Fogarty, who landed a role as a dancer in the film.
