IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2023 and the UNICEF Earthquake Appeal

On Friday, April 14, we will be fortunate to be celebrating female success in business at the IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2023. However, it is important to acknowledge and support women across the world who continue to face significant challenges and adversity.

UNICEF is working with partners to support children and families impacted by the devastation of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria causing widespread damage.

To support the children and families in Syria and Turkey, PwC is donating €10,000 to the UNICEF Earthquake Appeal. We will be inviting guests and readers to make their own donations here.

Right now, children are in desperate need of your help and support. They have lost their homes, their schools and even their families, but they cannot lose their future. Help UNICEF send life-saving supplies to children and their families in Turkey & Syria. Right now, UNICEF teams are working around the clock to provide children and their families with emergency supplies. They are working under challenging conditions, with harsh weather and damaged infrastructure exacerbating the situation. However, they are determined to reach every child in need and won’t stop until every child is helped.

A donation to UNICEF today can make a life-saving difference to children:

€250 can supply 5 first-aid kids, to help injured children.
€100 could provide emergency food and clean water for 100 children.
€75 can provide 8 winter blankets to keep children safe and warm.

Donate to the UNICEF Earthquake Appeal here.

The 2023 IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards is sponsored by Key Capital, DS Automobiles, Glenveagh, Kuehne + Nagel, and Ibec, and held in association with Marks & Spencer, Circle Club and istil 38. Now in its 15th year, the award ceremony recognises the outstanding contribution Irish women make to business and modern life. The shortlist for the 2023 IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards can be viewed here.
