Cumberbatch’s Bride Sophie Hunter Wore Valentino

Valentino

It’s been over a month since Benedict Cumberbatch got married to his partner Sophie Hunter on Valentine’s Day, but it is only now that we are finally seeing The Dress.

It’s been over a month since Benedict Cumberbatch married his partner Sophie Hunter on Valentine’s Day, but it is only now that we are finally seeing The Dress.?Hunter, an avant-garde theatre director with a penchant for Erdem, wore Valentino for the big day as per an Instagram from the fashion house yesterday. More images will be appearing in the new issue of Vogue, so for now you’ll have to feast your eyes on this solitary photo. It seems Hunter is following in the footsteps of Amal Clooney, which are good footsteps to emulate.

Valentino’s official Instagram account published the photo yesterday with the following caption:

“Beautiful Sophie Hunter with Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli prepping her couture dress for her March wedding to Benedict Cumberbatch.?#magicmoment #sophiehunter?#benedictcumberbatch photographed by#AnnieLeibovitz for?@voguemagazine”

Isn’t it gorgeous?

Annie Leibovitz was responsible for capturing the moment in the Valentino atelier, capturing designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli as they made the wedding dress in three months. According to the magazine it takes six months to make such a gown. Perhaps it was Hunter’s pregnancy that required such rapid stitching?
