Zoe Jordan: A week in my wardrobe

Zoe Jordan: A week in my wardrobe

by Zoe Jordan
14th Nov 2022

Known for her love of contemporary art and textures, Mallorca-based Irish designer Zoe Jordan specialises in clean lines, fresh palettes and boyish elegance. Her collections are tactile, colourful and feel just as luxurious as they look. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe.

MONDAY

This is my run-around day so I’m mostly in my workout clothes, catching up with life admin and trying to get the house back to some kind of normal. Today I also had three parent-teacher meetings to get to. I like to whizz around town on my e-bike or Vespa, so I tend to wear shorts. The ones I have on here are Isabel Marant – high-waisted and washed out. My entire outfit is very tonal today; a Nike pink t and the lilac cardi from my own line. Sunglasses are always my go-to accessory… I think of sunglasses almost as being a piece of jewellery. It’s a bonus that they help me see!

TUESDAY

Today is a studio day. I’m getting great wear out of these big shirts – they’re roomy and airy and go with everything. This one is from Cos – I love their men’s white t-shirt shapes as well. I’ve styled my top with old Topshop jeans and the Zoe Jordan Hydra tie-dye cashmere. Sometimes I use my jumpers to give my outfit a little colour blast over the shoulders. I don’t have any scarves so I use these light cashmere knits instead.

WEDNESDAY

I’m doing a pop-up in Palma today, so I want to make a bit of an effort with my outfit whilst still being comfy and able to move about all day. This metallic leather skirt has been in my wardrobe for maybe 15 years, from my old RTW collection. Leather skirts are so great with a big chunky jumper and maybe some ribbed socks and a pair of hiking boots. Knits and leather are always a great combo, but metallic packs a punch.

THURSDAY

I play padel tennis about three or four times a week – we actually just had the Irish team over to play from Bushy Park which, in a European tournament, is great to have all the different nationalities playing and see the sport grow. I usually wear a tennis skirt, I like high socks, normally tie dye and then I add a jumper or a big cashmere bomber to take it up a notch from a techy sports look, to something a bit more luxe and versatile.

FRIDAY

I’m heading out for early tapas in Palma old town with a girlfriend tonight. Nights are still warm here! I’ve opted for a classic shirt here, but in a more directional cut. I love pieces which are classic with a twist. I’ve mixed tonal pieces, added a little scrunchie action and a foolproof NARS red lip and I’m ready to go. My chunky silver Asics are my buy of the season.

SATURDAY

I’m Ibiza-bound today to see my good friend. I love a co-ord for travel. Even though the colours are super bold, it’s still simple and easy to put together, just add a white t-shirt and a pair of simple trainers to keep it fuss-free for a relaxed travel vibe. If we decide to go out later, I can wear the bomber over a simple slip-dress with some big gold hoops.

SUNDAY

It’s Sunday so I can finally breathe! Today I’m wearing my new hand-dyed cotton PJs – they’re aqua with a little grape piping. I’ll live in these today and if I have to go out I’ll chunk on some jeans and tuck the shirt in. Each piece is unique and I’m a big believer in wearing my best every day; it doesn’t need to be glam, it just needs to feel great on the skin, be easy to move in and lift my mood. That’s real luxury.

Zoe’s autumn collection is available to shop online now and consists of a considered edit of cult cashmere
bombers and chunky round-neck knitwear, in rich tones of Cerulean Blue and Sand. With a spiral hand-dyed detail, each piece is truly unique, and easy to pair back with the neutrals you already have in your wardrobe.
