Life is all about a little pleasure – here, IMAGE marketing account executive Meghan Killalea shares the bits and pieces giving her joy this month.

In a world full of constant overconsumption and information overload, I have found that recognising the little things that make my days, weeks, and months a little bit brighter has been a game-changer for how my month goes.

A wise woman (my mother) once told me: ‘Buy the damn shoes!’ So this month, some of the things that have finally moved out of the basket include these gorgeous cow-print pumps from ASOS, which I think will be so chic going into spring. I also got this gorgeous crocodile print laptop cover from Etsy, which is personalised with my name, so I will never lose my laptop in the office again.

I also got something that has been on my wishlist for I don’t know how long, a candle warmer lamp. This means that I don’t have to light my candles anymore, and with its classic design, it makes my desk feel elevated and chic.

As the mornings get brighter, I have started going for a pre-work walk, which has honestly upgraded my morning routine in a way I didn’t expect. I feel happier, more productive, and actually ready to take on the day when I get home, and all from a 25-minute stroll. My Head Plan Daily Sip Mug and I have been inseparable on these walks for the past month, and next month I absolutely intend on continuing this new little routine. Who knew that everyone who was ranting about morning movement would be unequivocally correct about all the benefits it boasts?

While mornings are all about movement, evenings are a time for me to slow down with some self-care. I am a homebody at heart, so any excuse to stay curled up on the couch is good for me. My partner and I love a proper monthly movie night, whether we’re bingeing a beloved, well-known series (Lord of the Rings, anyone?) or getting stuck into the newest releases. We also now have our Friday evenings carved out for a weekly games night with our best friends, where we usually end up playing Mario Party on the Nintendo Switch until the wee hours, laughing until our sides hurt. Nibbles are an absolute essential on these evenings, of course, and nothing brings us more joy than tucking into a big bowl of popcorn and Magnum’s White Chocolate & Cookies Bonbons, the ultimate treat for an end-of-week tradition.

I recently discovered these Bonbons while snack hunting in my local Tesco. Available in four delicious flavours: Magnum Bonbon Gold Caramel Billionaire, Salted Caramel & Almond, Milk Chocolate & Cherry, and White Chocolate & Cookies, they come in a convenient tub for sharing on nights-in. With a creamy dairy ice cream filling, wrapped with ribbons of black cookie sauce coated in the thick signature cracking Magnum white chocolate and crunchy cookie crumbs, the White Chocolate & Cookies Bonbons are our personal favourite, but we love to switch it up with the other flavours too!

I have also been loving using my record player this month, and have been obsessed with CMAT’s incredible Euro-Country album, as well as Amble’s Reverie, Mumford and Sons’ Babel, and Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake (anyone who knows me knows I’m a sucker for classical music). Next month, I’m hoping to expand my collection to include Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as it’s one of my all-time favourite pieces of music. Listening to all of these, both during the work-from-home days and in the evenings, making dinner has really made me consciously listen to the music instead of just passively engaging with it. Plus, the feeling of taking the vinyl out of its sleeve and dropping the needle on it to listen to an album in full is quite the treat.

Longer form content has become a staple for me this month, with ‘Day in the Life’ YouTube vlogs and hour-long podcasts taking over my interest from shorter form videos on Instagram and TikTok. I have been utterly obsessed with Grace Beverly’s Working Hard podcast recently. Everything from the quality of guests she hosts to the variety of topics covered has me waiting in anticipation for every Monday morning drop. Another Monday morning favourite is the incredible lads from I’m Grand Mam. They never fail to make me laugh out loud, and have become a near constant companion when I’m driving into the office. Finally, our very own IMAGE The Check-in podcast is one that I tune into each week, as I find the wealth of knowledge you gain from it is really quite something.

Available in four decadent flavours, Magnum Bonbons are the ultimate sharing treat to enjoy with friends, family or keep them just for yourself. Magnum. Designed for Pleasure. To learn more, visit www.magnumicecream.com.
