The best street style inspiration for your festive wardrobe

The best street style inspiration for your festive wardrobe

Christmas is an opportunity to dress up every day if you like. I love the fact that anything goes at anytime of the day during this festive time of year, be it a bejewelled sweater at breakfast or a velvet dress for a pub lunch. Be experimental over the holiday season and embrace looks you might not try at any other time, because if you can’t have fun with your wardrobe at Christmas, when can you?

Winter white always looks incredibly chic, and luxurious. To make it work, mix up textures and tones, such as knits with silks etc.

Statement shoes are a great way to add a pop of interest to your outfit. Embrace a hint of festive red if you want to add punctuation to no-nonsense neutrals.

If you don’t already own one, invest in a great coat. Putting on drab outerwear over a beautiful outfit doesn’t make sense. This way, even if you want to dress down underneath, you’ll make a terrific impression just by throwing on your overcoat.

Faux fur lends every outfit a luxurious, tactile feel. It exudes an opulence that we all like to embrace at Christmas.

Appearing cold never looks chic, so make sure you have a stylish pair of gloves to wear over the festive season. The pair below look a little like Marigolds, but I love the shade of yellow paired with the raspberry coloured coat.
